The Origin of IGC

IGC was founded in 2016 by two Swedish iGaming experts with a vision to deliver stellar iGaming content for clients seeking to increase their competitive advantage. 

Evolution of the Acronym

Initially, the acronym “IGC” stood for “iGaming Content,” a name that straightforwardly represents the company’s primary focus even to this day. However, as the services we offer continued to grow beyond content creation, which includes translation, localisation, publication, SEO outreach, and so on, we decided to add the term “services” to the name. 

Why It Is Imperfect

The most obvious issue here is that IGC doesn’t match the name iGaming Content Services. So we were called IGC Services for a while, and that’s why our website address is https://igc.services. Further challenges were a little less self-inflicted - for example, the acronym “IGC” is sometimes confused with other similar similar-sounding entities. 

Turning Challenges Into Opportunities

Despite these road bumps, the decision to keep moving forward with this name is strategic. The company has been operating and expanding for almost a decade now, and over the years, the word “IGC” has garnered significant brand recognition within the iGaming industry.

This is why we are now called IGC Content Ltd on paper and simply IGC (all uppercase) in general conversation.

Team IGC’s Global Presence

A humble team of two has now expanded into a diverse team of 10 in-house members with two main offices in Marbella, Spain and St. Julian’s, Malta. Our team operates remotely from several countries, including Portugal, the UK, Malta, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Serbia, and Myanmar.

Thanks to this geographical diversity, we continue to cater to the global clientèle effectively with a rich blend of expertise and cultural insights.
